A journey into Haydn’s beloved “Quinten” Quartet, whose third movement earned the nickname “Minuet of the Witches”. Alongside it, three charming string quartets by Maddalena Laura Lombardini Sirmen — an acclaimed Italian composer of the 18th century, celebrated in her lifetime but later forgotten.

From Christmas to Easter – Fanny Hensel and the Church Year

This recital highlights piano works rooted in chorale melodies by Fanny Hensel (née Mendelssohn) and Swiss composer Theodor Fröhlich. At its heart: Hensel’s long-overlooked Easter Sonata, for decades wrongly attributed to her brother Felix, until restored to her name by scholarship in 2010.
